New Orleans and the aftermath

This weekend, we had a date night in New Orleans on a budget!

How so?

We ate at Drago's with the gift certificate we got for Christmas.

No need for a menu, we were there for one thing and one thing only: charbroiled oysters.

We stayed at my friend, Sarah's, so no need for a hotel!

There was also no cover charge at the album release party as that friend has a small connection to the band!

As we walked into The Maple Leaf, I told Andrew, "This is a really authentic place with really authentic music."

Apparently, the patrons of this bar think so too from the "literature" on the bathroom wall.

We had a wonderful time.

And I even learned to dance like a hippie.

Andrew says I did great.

We went home in the early afternoon on a gorgeous South Louisiana Saturday. We had dinner plans with my parents and another event to go to in Baton Rouge.

What's that? It's a bird...it's a plane...it's Andrew at the play, Guys and Dolls! It's not a common occurrence, I can assure you.

My sister was in the play, so even Andrew went to show his support.

Today, that supportive guy has a new best friend: chicken noodle soup.

I'm having to nurse that boy, though. He's really feeling horrible. The cough, the sounds, the aches: it's bad.

I think he's one Chicken Noodle Soup from complete recovery. Let's hope.
