More of life's instructions

I'm so grateful that we have a friend in Anderson. My friend, Dorothy, came over for lunch after church yesterday.

It's wonderful how the Lord works. I met Dorothy, we had lunch, and had sweet conversation. And come to find out, she goes to the church we've been going to in Greenville about 30 minutes away. I'm not sure if anyone else in the city of Anderson goes to this church. But Dorothy does! And the Lord placed her in my life at the perfect time.

Dorothy was so sweet to have brought me a little gift for having her over yesterday.

It reminds me of my "Life Little Instructions." It should say, "Light a candle that someone has just brought you for a reminder of a good lunch and good company." It doesn't say that, but it gives other amazing words of wisdom.

Can you believe A.Lee didn't know about this book? Well he does now. See, I found my {leather-bound} copy of "The Complete Life's Little Instructions" after blogging about it yesterday, and Andrew got a hold of it and made tons of sticky notes around the house. I love it because it encourages me as well.

Here's a few that you may want to remember:

#127 Wear audacious underwear under the most solemn business attire.

#346 Be bold and courageous. When you look back on your life, you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did.

#1143 Never let the odds keep you from pursuing what you know in your heart you were meant to do.

#847 Pray. There is immeasurable power in it.

#463 Don't use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved.

#729 Remember that a good example is the best sermon.

Amen to all Life's Little Instructions!
