Many of you participate "Sunday Funday." You know, shopping, lunch, mimosas. I love a good Sunday Funday, especially when I lived in Charleston. But also while I was living in Charleston, my good friend, Katey and I had TRT: Totally Random Tuesday.
It all came about because I don't like Tuesday. Monday, no one likes, but it's a nice fresh start to your week. Wednesday, hump day, you're almost to the end. Thursday, you can probably start drinking because it's almost Friday. Friday, duh. The weekends, duh.
But Tuesday? Nothing good happens on Tuesday, so we forced good things to happen on Tuesday. It was Charleston...on a Tuesday...and we had the time of our lives.
Gone are the days, but TRT can still happen. Even if you're boring, married, and living in Baton Rouge.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Andrew needed a subject to photograph for an ad that he's doing for my friend. I told him, "Good thing you think I'm pretty because if you didn't, could you imagine how that conversation would have gone."
Andrew: "I need to photograph sunglasses on a girl for an ad."
Whitney: "I could do it!"
Andrew: "Ummm, I don't know..."
Fortunately, for me, that didn't happen. All that matters is that he thinks I'm purty.
I'm no beauty queen, but I did find out that modeling is hard.
I look like I'm praying. I wish I could say that I was. I wasn't. Our Monday night small group was about prayer, and the concept of prayer won't leave me, so pardon my prayer-like posture. Cool shades, though.
The paparazzi showed up, so we had to wrap it up. In actuality, I thought I heard a rattlesnake.
Later that night, we had our Tuesday night cajun dance class, something I eagerly anticipate. Andrew, on the other hand, likes it, but could use a cold one before we partake in the class. I joined him in having a cold one and used an Auburn huggie in thanks for him going along with all of this.
I found our instructor on youtube since Andrew wouldn't let me take any pictures in our class for my blog. Boo hiss.
So for your cajun dance curiosity, enjoy:
you look like a natural!
ReplyDeleteTRT! Love the model shots. My TRT consisted of registering at Pottery Barn and steaming brussel sprouts. Pretty random if you ask me! P.S. I'm emailing this post to Tanner and Mikell haha!
ReplyDeleteWhitney, you are beautiful!!! You should be a model - a short person model. I feel discriminated against in the modeling world, don't you? You should totally pave the way.
ReplyDeleteTRT sounds like a nice tradition to me. Maybe I'll start.
I think the shots look good Whitney! Modeling while praying is ok, right? Anyway, I agree with SB, totally random tuesday sounds like good fun. A tradition to be embraced for sure!
ReplyDeleteAlso, LOVE Charleston! Several of my family live there, and we go quite frequently. Also, my Dad grew up in Anderson, SC. Small world. Hopefully opportunities will open for you guys near Montgomery and Lake Martin. We love it, too!
Hope the beginning of you week is great!
