...and I like cheesy workout videos.
This is the part 2 of my series of what I'll call "confessions." In Part 1, I admitted that I quit calligraphy.
Part 2, it's true. I like working out from the comfort of my own home and embarrassing myself by exercising with the likes of many well known {and annoying} health professionals.
My latest obsession is my friend, Leslie Sansone. I like her and her yankee accent telling me to "walk, walk, walk, walk!"
Last year, I was partial to Gilad on FitTV. His accent is that of some "far away land", but I really appreciated his energy and encouragement. The backdrop of Hawaii never hurt either.
Also on FitTV was belly dancing. I'll stop there.
Over the years, my friends through VHS and otherwise have been Jane, Mary Lou, Richard, Cindy, and Denise. (Fonda, Retton, Simmons, Crawford, and Austin).
I have no idea why I feel the need to tell you this. Maybe it's to give you a laugh. I don't know how it couldn't at least get a chuckle. Or if you're honest with yourself, recall a time where you had "Sweat to the Oldies" too.
STOP! Did you realize they changed the programming on FitTV? I'm so upset about this. I loved Gilad and the Bollywood dancing shows. I'll confess that I've taken belly dancing classes in real life and even was promoted to the "advanced" classes. It was a blast!
ReplyDeletehaha, i should photograph you for a follow up demonstration!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you on this!
ReplyDeleteNo joke...literally received Richard Simmons sweating to the oldies in the mail yesterday.
ReplyDeleteMy mom ordered it for me. I tend to get really bored with workout videos and wanted something to do with fun music. I can't wait to try it this week! I'll let you know how it goes - ha.
Girls, thank you for your honesty. Especially you, SB! I remember fondly, Sweatin to the oldies.
