We're back from the mountains and have been trying to get back into the swing of things after such a marvelous weekend with our friends. Sarah Barry did such a great re-cap of their drive up to see us, and our time together last weekend.
I am just so grateful to have these guys, The Spooners, as our friends. They are truly a blessing to Andrew and me.
Here's our weekend in pictures.
Andrew started a fire for us.
We took a drive to a creek.
The creek. Beautiful.
My all-American husband. {"How 'bout a nice col' coke, sha?" is what my great, great Aunt used to say to get us to stay and visit with her longer. She always had "nice col' cokes" in bottles for us.}
Produce stands: I don't think much else makes me happier.
Local honey.
Local apples of many variety.
The boys: watching football. Notice the beer and chips. {Note: I was right there with 'em wishing I weren't so avid of a fan myself.}
Some good, sweet, homemade apple cider.....with ever clear. Watch out!
I love when he puts his arm 'round me.
The four of us. They are wonderful people.
Spooners, yall come back anytime! The sooner the better!
SB, I did watch the games again when we got home on Sunday. I guess like father like daughter. See, I like to re watch football games on Sunday because I'm too hyped up on Saturdays to remember everything, and to that I think Sarah Barry said, "I'd like to know how you tick." She's very enamored with that side of me I suppose.
I long for more glorious weekends like the one we just had: good friends, good weather, good football. It's a good, good life.
Great pictures, I especially love the one with A drinking the coke - classic.
ReplyDeleteIt was such a wonderful time - Thanks again for having us! We definitely want to come back.
Can't wait to see y'all NEXT WEEKEND!
Oh and I can't believe you watch the games again - ha.
