Bluegrass and BBQ

On Sunday night, I went to Bluegrass and bar-be-que with my friend, Dorothy at our church in Greenville. While I was there, our pastor came over to say hello, ask me how things were going, and asked about Andrew.

I said we were doing well; just praying for direction, praying for guidance, praying for patience.

Brian, our pastor, is such the encourager, and has such a wonderful, Christ-like perspective on things. He said, "Waiting is a form of suffering; just look at Psalms. As people, we're always "out of control", but when you're waiting, you feel it." I said, "Exactly. I'm feeling it now."

It's true. We think we're in control {when we never have been}, but when you're waiting for an answer from God, or an answered prayer, you really feel the reliance on Him. You feel how it's "out of your control."

I got several texts and phone calls yesterday seeing if I was okay from yesterday's blog post. To clear everything up, I am fine. My heart is light. My trust is in Him. It's just life decisions; wanting to make the right one.

In the meantime, I nourish my soul with bluegrass and bar-be-que....and some preachin'.
