Land that I love

We are really getting out of control with the travel. We went down to Dawsonville, GA and had such a blast with our friends for the fourth of July. We drove through the countryside to get there, and I loved every minute of that. I thought about how beautiful our country is. I can get quite sentimental around the 4th. So sentimental that when I hear "Chicken fried" by Zac Brown Band, I get a little choked up when I sing, "I thank God for my life, And for the stars and stripes. May freedom forever fly, let it ring. Salute the ones who died, And the ones that gave their lives so we don't have to sacrifice all the things we love. Like our chicken fried..."

That's a little ridiculous, but I love my country.

In the great state of Georgia, we ate, we drank, we made new friends, and learned new recipes.

Here's some photos of the crawfish boil they had:

A.Lee, American flag and crawfish: my top loves.

So after all that fun we had, we woke up early on Sunday morning, went home, and.....repacked.

Yes, we went here:

That's right, we went on the the great state of North Carolina to visit Andrew's cousin, husband, and fam. {I told you we were outta control!}

This was the relaxing part of our trip. It was just what we needed: local produce eatin, good ole wine drinkin, and movie watchin' among other relaxing times with sweet family.

I wouldn't have stayed home to miss that!
