Andrew and I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend of going to dinner and movie, watching and listening to LSU baseball, eating ice cream, church going, and cleaning out the spare room that will soon turn into the baby's nursery. I've been cooking and reading a lot too. It's been good for me.
I'm currently reading two baby-raising books that are completely contradictory to one another. It sort of makes me laugh. People have such staunch opinions one way or the other. More on that another time I suppose.
Spring has been good around here. The strawberries are tasty. I wish I could say I knew what the taste of Abita Strawberry Ale tasted like this year, but me and my pregnant self wouldn't know. Speaking of, I'm already half way through the pregnancy!
Knowing that, and other simple things are making me smile.
We treat our cat, Aubie, like she's our real child. I'm trying to not spoil her so much in preparation for the necessary attention that our real baby will need. It's been hard because she's so darn cute.
Ah, well. I guess there are worse things.
