Good times at Christmas

Well hello there. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Ours was wonderful and memorable, as the season should be.

Is it horrible that I'm glad it's all over?

I mean, one can only take so much of The Elf on the Shelf.

It's fun to see the kids enjoy it, though.

Our gift to my nephews was a piƱata. It's cost efficient and fun!

It makes the season fun. In addition to talking up the upcoming BCS National Championship.

That reads "Honey Badger Takes What He Wants."

"BEAT BAMA again"

And "In Nola to kick their A."

Back to a kid-friendly Christmas, I made reindeer food, and we found a poem to go along with the activity.

So in the cold, we all went out to watch Andrew beckon Santa to "STOP HERE."

He did.

So in conclusion, Santa came and Jesus' birth was celebrated! It was simple celebration this year and it was memorable. Just the way I like it.

But in Louisiana, there is never a dull moment. It's Mardi Gras season. Gear up.

  1. I love your honey badger pin! I almost fell out of my chair- made me laugh so hard. Seamus has nicknamed me "mini-pooch" (long story - its from some character on the simpsons) and if I'm acting feisty he likes to tease me and say "mini pooch don't care, mini pooch takes what she wants" Hope you and Andrew had a great Christmas and New Year's- I took a break from blogging while we were on holiday but check back tomorrow.
