We had one happy Mardi Gras this year. On Sunday, we went to Thibodaux for the parades. I took a picture for Andrew's first day of school first Mardi Gras parade.
We were so excited to go to one of my best friend's mom's house because they're so fun, and they just happen to live on the parade route.
As we were approaching the lawn for the parade to show up, my husband exclaims, "This is awesome!" They parade hadn't even started yet.
This was the beginning of the large time he had.
I went to the bathroom, and when I came back, Andrew had this costume on.
My friend, Andre', asked, "Who jumped off the float?....Oh my gosh, that's Andrew!"
I hope we're invited back next year.
Ol' A.Lee had to work on Monday, and he made it there relatively on time. Today, it's a rainy Tuesday, and no one has to work. We ate breakfast at Louie's Cafe, ran errands, and made ourselves what we learned is a "BLT" drink: bourbon, lemon juice, and tonic. {Compliments of our favorite mag, Garden & Gun.}
Even with the rain and all, we're celebrating Mardi Gras at home with a toddy. I think one parade is plenty enough for us Lee's.
hahahaha...these pictures made me laugh :) I can see (and hear) Andrew having a great time! Glad Mardis Gras was everything you'd hoped it would be. See ya'll soon!
