Easy beef bourguignon

For Valentine's Day, I spoiled Andrew with a menu that caused him to salivate just reading the ingredients on our authentic, one-of-a-kind, French chalk board easel that I got from Paris.

I made Beef Bourguigon with a side of asparagus infused with ginger...

No I didn't.

There is no Parisian chalk board. There is no beef bourguigon. There is no infusing of anything.

There was a thoughtful, high-caloric, budget-friendly meal.

We had chili fritos and oreo balls. One of his favorite, child-like things things to eat.

Add chili, shredded cheese, and sour cream. I already warned you that this is high calorie.

I sent Andrew to work this morning with a ziplock bag full of these oreo balls. He has to exercise the valuable lesson he learned in kindergarden: sharing.

I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I hope yours was a little more elegant than mine, but I can't complain. I had everything I wanted: cheese, chocolate, James Taylor serenading, and my sweet A.Lee.
