Bible flowers

In case you didn't know, I'm a bit "old school." I like paper and pen. I don't like texts. Sometimes, I even like to do things the long way.

My husband; however, is not that way. He likes technology and uses it to his advantage.

Every morning he gets some text message with Scripture. And you know, that fancy phone he has will even read it to him!

Today's reading was 1 Peter 1:24-25.  For,“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever."And this is the word that was preached to you.

Andrew said that he thought about this Scripture the other day. I put the roses he bought me in our bedroom, and he thought about this passage. He saw the roses die a little everyday; and we people are like that too. But God doesn't. God's Word doesn't either.

And I'm glad I have something to hold onto that will last forever.

These words that I write are so elementary, but so wonderfully true.

There's something about having fresh flowers in your house that make a girl so happy. Maybe Andrew will just have to keep buying them for me. It's good for my heart, and apparently for his too with all that Scripture poppin into his head!

Have a wonderful Tuesday. It's rainy here in Baton Rouge, and I'm kinda happy about it.
