Yesterday, I wore my fleur de lis earrings that were my mom's years ago. I was feeling a little nostalgic.
Yesterday, we ate gumbo. I was feeling a little cajun.
Yesterday, A.Lee and I both put in our 2 weeks notice at work.
Because...
We are moving to BATON ROUGE!
This has been a very prayerful decision, and we feel like we're making the right move.
Andrew got offered a job he couldn't pass up, so we're leaving Anderson. I know everyone is just imagining the excitement I feel; it's definitely there. I am; however, surprising myself with the sadness that leaving and change brings. I will miss our little church in Greenville. I will miss my sweet, God-sent friend, Dorothy. I will miss the girls at work. I will miss learning about jewelry and antiques everyday. I will miss being so close to the mountains. I will miss Anderson. There I said it.
But we're on to new things. If you would, please pray for us as we adjust. I know Andrew is going to be just fine, but I want his transition to be enjoyable, smooth, and painless. Our last day in Anderson is on the 18th; his first day of work is on the 22nd. We're supposed to be in Tampa on the 20th for my cousin's wedding. We have no idea how we're gonna swing it.
We'll find some way to do it. We'll need friends in Baton Rouge, too. So if you've been wanting to hang out with The Lee's, cancel the flight you booked to come to Anderson and invite us over to your home in Baton Rouge.
