I know you are all on pins and needles hoping that we made it to Baton Rouge. {Sense the sarcasm}. We made it, though. To even recap the events throughout the last 2 weeks would be impossible. It would make my head spin to recount it all. It would be sure to stress you out, too.
In lue of stressing you out, I'll just say that I have a grateful heart this Thanksgiving season. I've got more than I'll ever need {my moving experience shows that full well}. I've got a husband who moved everything for me while I flitted off to Sarasota for boat rides, dancing, drinks, and a wedding. But most importantly, I've got a God full of grace that loves unconditionally.
With all of that, what more could a girl ask for? Fortunately, I can ask for more. With Andrew starting his new job next Monday, I'm realizing that God answered a bold prayer that we prayed about 2 months ago. We had everything we needed, and we were grateful. But we asked for more. That's bold. Who does that?
"So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." Hebrews 4:16 (Emphasis added).
Who is this God that I serve?
As Christmas approaches, I wonder...

The moving and job-changing ordeal Michael and I went through lasted from June to September. Lots of praying and asking for "things," but also remembering to pray and ask for grace and acceptance. When the company called and flew him to the interview, then offered him the job, then provided us a generous moving package, we were in so much awe of our God and what he provided to us. What did we do to deserve this?
ReplyDeleteWe prayed. With open hearts.
He is always listening boldly to those who pray boldly.
You're in my prayers for sure!
