Let's just set the record straight

Both of the tigers in the Lee household are 4-0. We couldn't be more excited. I relayed the news to A.Lee that his Auburn tigers won via email. As he checked his email in Shanghai, he was thrilled to say the least!

"I got to my hotel room, checked this, and have been jumping up and down and fist pumping and there's no one else in 2 billion people that care about that game over here...WDE" A.Lee

I was happy for him. I cheered for his team because no one else was here to do so.

But let's just set the record straight. LSU plays Auburn in a few weeks. I will be wearing purple and gold. That's what I bleed. Someone's gotta lose, though and ever since I've known Andrew, LSU has won. I'm happy about this fact, yet I feel bad for the guy.

I love Auburn because my husband loves Auburn. I do not; however, "Believe in Auburn and love it." That's a bit much.

There are two more reasons for my sudden interest in the Auburn tigers:

A. I'm less than thrilled with the LSU team due to the head coach, Les Miles. We have such talent on our team, but the wins have been so sloppy, which most of us LSU fans contribute to poor coaching, among other things. It's nice to have another team to root for. Auburn's got a lot going for them right now, and since I'm married to an avid Auburn fan, why would I suddenly choose a team other than Auburn to cheer for?

B. I am very enthralled with this guy:

Okay, people. He's hot. I'm married, but when this guy smiles, wow. No wonder Auburn keeps winnin. Andrew is really wanting me to stop saying how attractive Cam Newton is.

I've heard the comments about how I'm a traitor, or people can't believe I wear orange and blue. Y'all I love my husband, and what he loves, I love. Within reason. And he wears purple and gold to LSU games!

There are two schools that my children will be encouraged to attend: Auburn or LSU. Confession: I will be thrilled if my child chooses Auburn simply for the fact that it's a more wholesome environment. I think the kid will not have near the fun as if he went to LSU, but I don't think a parent is supposed to encourage the "#1 party school" thing.

On that note, I'll leave you with an ambiguous, "Geaux Tigers!"

  1. "he" ey? If "he went to LSU?" How are you going to make certain you have a "he?" I want to know because I want to make certain I have a "she."

    only kidding.

We'll be at LSU Auburn too of course. I, in purple and gold, and my hubby in blue and orange. LSU's won for as long as we've been together too. We need to make sure we meet up that weekend. We're having a huge tailgate with tons of Mobile people for you to meet.
