The Most Red Neck Place on Earth!

Saturday, Dorothy and I went to The. Most. Red. Neck. Place. On. Earth: The Jockey Lot. I've been told that if you haven't been to the jockey lot, you are not a true Andersonian. I'm proud to say that I now am.

You can't just read "jockey lot" and say it in whatever dialect you are accustom to. You have to say it with the most red neck, back-woods way you know. 'Cause that's how everyone else says it, so one must fit in. In fact, you can go ahead and read this entire post in the dialect of "back-woods", as we'll call it.

Here's how we were welcomed:

I felt at home when I saw that I could get a "never-ending candle" in my favorite collegiate team.

Or favorite NFL team!

Or an Elvis style candle!

Speaking of Elvis, over the loud-speaker, we were encouraged to see the Elvis impersonator they had there at that jockey lot. I thought this was it, but Dorothy said, "I don't think that's the Elvis we're looking for because that man is wearing a sombrero."

We noticed this sweet sign as we left that jockey lot:

Adventures are always fun. At the jockey lot, this adventure was pure entertainment. Hope your weekend was something a bit more classy. There's no way it couldn't have been!

  1. this post is priceless! However, I do not think your readers can fully appreciate the Jockey Lot(Im saying it in the local way) unless they take a field trip there for themselves..

My own documentation and post is in the works...check it soon!

    Have fun on your trip!
