Basically, the highlight of my trip was eating at all my favorites spots in La: Ruffino's, Izzo's, Chelsea's, La Madeline, Cane's and then some. Oh, and I haven't had a piece of fruit in a week.
Here are some pictures from my trip eating and otherwise:
Dad and the girls at Ruffino's.
While antiquing, I found the Mammy cookie jar I've been looking for! For a long time now, I've wanted this exact one, but for some reason, I passed her up. She was too expensive.
White Linen night in Nola.
The Carousel Bar in Nola.
Also, during my trip, I lost my sister's cat, Fluffly. I was so scared that I lost her precious cat! She called me every day to see if Fluffly came home. Every day I answered, "No." My sister, Adrienne, told me about Fluffly's HIV positive disease. Umm what?!? I think that was my response, along with, "Cat's have AIDS?! What the hell?" She said it wasn't like the human kind. Right as I was locking up to leave, Fluffly, with it's HIV, came back! Great.
It was such a nice trip meeting up with people that mean the most to me, and of course, eating and shopping at my old favs. I love Louisiana.
Andrew's China recap is gonna blow mine outta the water. But my La. days have more charm. I know that.
